How much does a website cost?
The cost of a website can vary hugely depending on various factors - that's why we spend time getting to understand what you really need. Some people just want a single page with contact details, while others want many pages with complexity such as e-commerce functionality. Website projects generally start in the R3500 range for basic business sites, and range upward depending on your unique needs.
How long does it take to design and build a website?
The time it takes to produce a website depends on the size and complexity of your site. Also, the content is a determining factor - if there is good quality content (text and images) available, this speeds things up. A simple website typically takes around 6 weeks from beginning to end.
Do I have to be local to work with you?
No, not at all. With the amazing technology available these days, it is a simple process to work remotely. We build websites for clients all over the world.
Will you maintain the site for me?
Yes we can. It is important a website is maintained after it goes live - this protects it from malware, spammers etc. Wild Teak Media provides various Care Plans - click here.
Will my website work on mobile devices?
Yes it will, and this is so important these days! All the websites we create are responsive - the word used to describe the ability of a website to respond to different devices.
Will I be able to update the website myself when it is finished?
We use WordPress which is a CMS (Content Management System). So this means that yes you can manage the content yourself, depending on what you feel you can manage. The Care Plans involve a certain amount of maintenance as well. Click here to view them.
Who creates the content for the website?
Usually this is you, as you are the expert in your business! The content includes both text and images. Good quality images are essential in a successful website. If you need help, Wild Teak Media is happy to provide assistance which we can work into the cost package.
Do you do online/ecommerce website.
Yes absolutely!
Do I need my own domain name?
Yes as this reflects who your business is. We can help set this up if you want.
A domain name is your address on the internet. Typically this would be something like yourcompany.co.za
Do I need my own web hosting?
We can do this for you, or we can use your current provider.
Web hosting is a service that allows your website to be viewed on the Internet. It’s basically a computer housed in a data centre that runs your website and email.
Can you help me with Social Media and Email Marketing?
We sure can. As part of your project we can include social media and email marketing services.
What is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)?
Search Engine Optimisation is all about getting your website higher up in the search results on search engines such as Google. The higher up the results you are the more traffic (and customers) you’re likely to get.
There are many aspects that go into achieving good SEO, and one of the most important is the copy (words) on your website. Focus on well written, keyword rich and appropriate content is the key.
